About IDEX

Idex used to be a normal tourism company doing and operating regular group trips for customers from Europe. During this period of about 3 years we observed two important things. One was that every traveler craved to interact with local people and regular tourism provided very little opportunity for authentic interactions with the local people. And second thing we observed was that it was unfulfilling for us to have busloads after busloads of tourists being catered by us and then sent back without having given them truly interactive experiences or the 'Real' culture of the country.<br />The opportunity to evolve into a more exciting and fulfilling Travel Company presented itself in the form of a small experiment with some volunteers from Denmark in late 2002 that did a month-long project fo
